Driving Directions: Take exit 284 in Utah County. Travel east on the Timpanogos Highway (SR 92) to American Fork Canyon USFS fee station. From the Fee Station, travel 4.6 miles to North Fork/ Alpine Loop Junction. Follow the sign right, for the Alpine Loop. 3.3 miles to Timpanokee campground/ Alpine loop sign. Go right at the sign and through the campground. Drive. 4 mile to the Timpanogos trailhead.
Entrance: Walk past the restrooms towards the Timpanogos Trailhead. On your Left is a marker for trail 150. That is your trail.
Alternate Entrance: From the Timpanokee campground/ Alpine loop sign,stay left for another .6 miles you will

see a yellow sign that states "trail crossing 200" park in the pullout signed for 150. Walk east across the street. This will cut 1 mile off your hike if you are short on time.
Exit: Return the way you came
Alternate Exit:  The trail connects to Pine Hollow (47) and Salamander Flats (150) Willow Hollow (159)

The Business: The
Salamander Flat trail connects the Timpooneke trailhead with the Salamander Flat dispersed camping area and the Pine hollow trail.  The trail takes you through the fir trees above the alpine loop road. After a mile you cross the road and continue below the road to Salamander Flats dispersed campground .5 miles.From the dispersed sites, it is another .6 miles to the junction with the Pine Hollow trail (047) and the Ridge Trail (157)
